About the event

Artist Reception: Friday, March 27th from 5 - 7pm

Komorebi (木漏れ日) is a Japanese word describing sunlight filtering through tree leaves, creating a shifting pattern of light and shadow. While difficult to translate directly, it evokes a poetic appreciation for nature’s quiet beauty. In her exhibition "Komorebi," Eunika Rogers captures this sense of illumination and connection to place through her distinctive Terroir Paintings™.

Using hand-harvested clay pigments gathered from the landscapes that inspire her, Rogers transforms earth itself into paint, creating works that are both image and artifact. Her luminous aspen groves, inspired by Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, echo the cathedral-like feeling of standing beneath towering trees as light filters softly through their leaves.
